Our team of experienced professionals provide comprehensive IP services to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of patent law and secure their innovations. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts team in Gurgaon.


Work Type: Onsite, Permanent, Full-Time, 6-days working (Saturdays are WFH)


Position Overview: The Accounts Associate will play a critical role in supporting our Accounts division in tasks related to managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Follow-up for payment of Invoices of foreign clients as well as Indian Clients.
  2. Checking of invoices made against the requirements by the associates and Paralegals, verifying and following up with concerned persons.
  3. Reconciliation of payments received and to send acknowledgement emails to clients for payments received.
  4. Follow-up on due dates and vendor bill payments to be paid to our different service partners, Indian and Foreign Clients.
  5. Internal MIS requirements of reports to be made and sent to the partners as requested.
  6. Conflict resolution or ledger balance or payment, invoice verifications as needed or required by our clients.
  7. Co-ordination and meeting the requirements set forth by out CA firm and providing with the necessary accounting details needed payment of taxes etc.
  8. Bank related tasks - Bank Transactions/ Transfers, Bank Payments, Bank reconciliation etc.
  9. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  10. Reconcile bank statements and assist in month-end closing procedures.
  11. Maintain accurate financial records and assist in audits.
  12. Support the budgeting process and financial forecasting.
  13. Handle expense reports and ensure compliance with firm policies.
  14. Assist in maintaining the accounting software and databases.
  15. Respond to inquiries from clients and vendors regarding financial matters.
  16. Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
  17. Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting and related laws.


Qualifications:

  • B. Com Degree, or a degree in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, principles and industry practices.
  • Prior experience (minimum 2 years) in an Accountancy firm or Accounting/Finance department is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in English language (emails, coordination with clients etc.)
  • Proficiency in using an accounting software (like Zoho) is preferred.
