Advisory Associate - Power & Renewables Experience Essential


Location: Gurugram, India

A leading and rapidly growing Energy Research client is looking for an Advisory Associate with strong Power & Renewables experience to join their growing Advisory team.


This position will see you assist in leading advisory projects for clients across a diverse range of energy transition technologies, business models and strategies, including planning out the work of the team and ensuring they maintain rigorous standards of analysis and clear communication of insights.


Some Responsibilities:

  • Line management of junior analysts in the team to help them develop and coach/managing analysts within a project
  • Supporting business development work, for example by contributing delivery plans to our proposals


What we are looking for:

Required attributes:

  • Previous experience working on energy-related projects or policy – particularly in an Indian context (preferably but not limited to Power and Renewables)
  • Experience working at a major consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or other knowledge-focused firm or institution
  • First class university degree
  • Demonstrated success in taking responsibility for project and process management in team-oriented environments
  • Proven ability to interpret and derive insight from complex quantitative data and information
  • Ability to communicate clearly and co-operate effectively with both technically and non-technically minded people


Desirable attributes:

  • Leadership, management or mentoring experience demonstrated by previous roles of professional responsibility or extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrated success in working together with clients
  • Competence in advanced data analytics (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, Advanced Excel)
  • Strong academic record, such as a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant discipline
