Job Summary:

The Instructional Design Specialist analyzes, designs, develops, and evaluates training material throughout the program lifecycle to gain optimal learner-centric training solutions. The ideal candidate will design training modules that make complex concepts accessible, adhering to industry standards and enhancing knowledge retention. Deliverables would include but are not limited to blended learning materials, job aids, video, /audio scripts, accreditation/assessment/certification exam questions.

Job Responsibilities:

The role of the Instructional Designer is:

• Design and develop e-learning courses, simulations, and assessments which are fit for purpose as per the subject and learn profile.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and subject Matter Experts to source materials to ensure accurate, relevant, and up-to-date content. Re-imagine interactive and engaging digital learning experiences by using the best practices of adult learning methodologies.
• Apply instructional design theories, practices, and principles to create engaging learning experiences.
• Structure content logically and incorporate various instructional strategies to improve learner engagement.
• Work with multimedia elements like graphics, animations, and videos to enhance the learning experience.
• Utilize various multimedia technologies, including blended learning and gamification, to build a successful learning environment for different user personas.
• Develop storyboards, audio scripts, graphics concepts to create Interactive Multimedia Instructions (IMI).
• Manage timelines and coordinate with internal teams to meet project deadlines.
• Manage all assigned design solutions from conception to conclusion while working on multiple projects at a time.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelors/master's in engineering, Arts, Science or a related field
• Diploma/Degree in a related discipline such as instructional design or human performance technology or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 1 - 4 years.

Key Skill Sets:

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities including skills in explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a globally distributed team.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 software (PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Proficient in technology-based design/development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio 360, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite etc.

This is an office-based position, with the expectation to come in four days a week.
