Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with specialized expertise in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to serve as a strategic counterpart to our client's internal product team. This role is based within our Healthcare IT Consulting division, where you will act as a bridge between our client’s business needs and their technology teams, driving the delivery of RCM products that meet regulatory and market demands.
As a Product Owner in a consulting capacity, your focus will be on supporting the client’s product vision and providing subject matter expertise on RCM best practices. While the primary decision-making authority will reside with the client, you will collaborate closely with their internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the overall project objectives, timelines, and business goals.
With at least 4 years of experience in developing and implementing RCM products, you will guide and influence the process, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement & Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client’s internal teams (business, IT, and stakeholders) and our development team, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Understand the client’s product vision and work closely with them to refine the product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with their business objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, ensuring client needs are clearly captured, prioritized, and executed effectively.
- Product Development & Support:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in RCM processes and healthcare technology, guiding the client’s decision-making with industry best practices.
- Write detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Provide input into product design, and technical requirements to ensure they align with RCM standards and healthcare regulations.
- Work alongside the client’s Product Owner and business stakeholders to ensure the product backlog is prioritized appropriately, facilitating backlog refinement sessions as needed.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of product features, removing blockers and ensuring the product meets high-quality standards.
- Decision Support & Advisory:
- Offer strategic advice on product decisions but understand that ultimate decision-making will remain with the client.
- Provide recommendations on regulatory compliance, market trends, and competitive analysis, supporting the client in making data-driven product decisions.
- Client Success & Product Delivery:
- Collaborate with the client’s teams and our development teams to track project progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure that product deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Assist in gathering and interpreting customer feedback, ensuring that product iterations meet end-user needs and the client’s business objectives.
- Market Research & Regulatory Insight:
- Keep the client informed of the latest trends and changes in healthcare RCM, offering insights into how these can be integrated into the product roadmap.
- Support the client in navigating healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other relevant standards that impact product development.
- User Experience & Customer Focus:
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure the product delivers a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Champion the voice of the customer and integrate customer feedback into the product development process.
