Roll Title: SAR Remote Senescing Specialist


This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to contribute to projects like security and intelligence services, environmental monitoring and infrastructure assessment.

A good knowledge of remote sensing and the SAR-InSAR theory is desirable, together with strong problem-solving and team-working skills.


Location: Dehradun Uttarakhand


Job Responsibility:


  • SAR data processing and interpretation of results to extract relevant information according to project requirements.
  • Writing clear professional reports and presentations that incorporate critical thinking and spatial data analysis.
  • Establish and oversee appropriate project/task/deliverable reviews to ensure technical quality, product delivery, and impactful work.
  • Contribute to technical proposals for tenders.
  • Manage timelines, communication, and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously with accountability to commitments.
  • Interact with various stakeholders and partners to ensure project activities are aligned.


Required Skills:


  • At least 3 years of experience in SAR data processing and analysis.
  • Very good knowledge of GIS environment.
  • Applied programming skills (IDL, Python ….) with a demonstrated ability to automate work processes.
  • Familiarity with image processing software, e.g. ENVI, SARscape or similar is also appreciated.
  • Project management experience.
  • Passion for analysis and problem solving.
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards critical thinking and learning.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the required technical solutions.
  • Good work planning and sense of organization.
  • Capability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team and to make a contribution to applied techniques and processes.


Education & Experience: MSc or PhD degree in Geometrics, Earth Sciences, Remote Sensing, Engineering or related field.

Experience in SAR-InSAR data processing and GIS environments will be considered.
