Job Title :Application Support Engineer (Java) Location : Kochi -Onsite Work Type :Full-time Notice Period: 0-15 Days About the Role We are seeking a proactive and technically skilledApplication Support Engineerto join our team. The role involvesincident resolution, monitoring critical applications , andcollaborating with senior engineersto ensure seamless operations in a high-availability environment. Key Responsibilities Provideapplication supportfor Java-based enterprise applications. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related toJava, Servlets, JDBC, PL/SQL , andUnix/Linux environments . Performlog analysis, debugging, and issue triagingto ensure timely resolution. Supportdeployment activitiesunder senior team guidance. Monitor applicationsand batch processes; escalate issues when required. Collaborate withonsite/offshore teamsto meet definedSLAs . Maintain and updateissue logs, documentation, and runbooks . Participate inshift-based and on-call support rotations(24x7). Required Skills & Experience Strong inJava developmentwith solid debugging skills. Hands-on experience withMaven ,PostgreSQL ,Monitoring tools ,Jira/Salesforce , andAWS Exposure . Good understanding ofServlets, JSP, JDBC , andPL/SQL . Experience withOracle 19c , includingSQL/PL-SQL scriptingandquery tuning . Familiarity withIBM LibertyandTomcatfor application deployment and monitoring. Proficiency inUnix/Linux (RHEL)– log analysis, cron jobs, and shell commands. Exposure toShell scripting (C-shell/Bash)for automation and troubleshooting. Working knowledge ofC/C++ executablesused in batch processing. Basic awareness offrontend debugging(HTML, JavaScript). Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2–5 years of experience inapplication support or production supportroles. Experience inincident management and issue triagingwithin ITIL-based environments.
