Technical Writer

POSITION SUMMARYTechnical Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining the end user and administrator software documentation including but not limited to user guides, online help, API guides, installation guides, release notes, configuration catalogs etc. PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Organize and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.QA and standardization of client-facing documents.Create and maintain software product documentation. Produce highly useable end user and administrator product documentation that maximize the ability of the user to understand and use the product. Develop in-depth knowledge of the products and write technical content to an appropriate level of detail. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather information.Ensure delivery of quality documentation by following review and delivery processes and procedures. Ensure proper storage and archiving of documentation by following version control policies and procedures. Deliver documentation on schedule with a high degree of quality. Experience creating technical content aimed at administrators and end users of Web-based applications.Timely review and update style guide. Extensive experience with documentation tools: Adobe FrameMaker and Robohelp, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio.In-depth knowledge of DITA framework, single-sourcing content.Excellent technical writing skills and ability to peer review technical documents for grammar, content and style of writing.Experience using version management system (GitLab) is preferable.Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem solving, analysing, and technical (XML and DITA) skills.Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced Agile development environment. Ability to efficiently adjust documentation to changing product behaviours. Should be results-oriented, self-starter requiring minimal supervision.Should be respectful, responsible, collaborative, organized, passionate and innovative.Ability to work well in a team. 4-6 years of experience in relevant technology and industry.
