Smith+Nephew - Master Data Analyst - Data Management

Role Overview :Member of the GBS MDM team with an excellent understanding of master data and its importance to Smith & Nephew.Responsible for maintenance of business-critical data globally and having the ability to trouble shoot issues and offer solutions.Accountable for implementing best practices and maintaining strong relationships with other areas of the business.Needs to demonstrate very good knowledge across both technical and functional areas of operational ERP systems as well as provide advice, guidance, and training to both colleagues and internal customers.What will you be doing ?- Manage and prioritize the GBS MDM Service Now/EFLOW/Syndigo requests, working within agreed SLAs.- Provide complete and professional responses to customer in a timely manner.- Work with designated ERP system internal customers on understanding daily production/logistics problems, updating master data changes, co-ordinate and execute master data uploads.- Co-ordinate and resolve processing/reporting and field conflict issues within the MDM team.- Execute item master data transactions covering create, amend, extend materials source lists, purchase info records and manufacturing elements.- Create training materials and documentation and execute training using the appropriate tools, where appropriate.- Participate in data harmonization activities, and MDM process-improvement workshops.- Maintain the MDM Standard Operating Procedures and Data Dictionary.- Identify gaps in policies and escalate issues to DQO (Data Quality Organization) as necessary for resolution.- Defining and documenting global MDM processes.- Implement material master data quality best practices.- Implement standards/guidance for Material master data auditing/validating and cleansing.- Provide appropriate training and education to local Data steward of the BAU countries.- To ensure suitable audit trails / change control is in place to ensure data integrity and control.- Participates in Annual Product review process in MDM activities.- Participates as Subject Matter Expert in Master Data projects.- Winshuttle scripts runner/developer.- Working knowledge of Master Data management tools/apps: IDQ; Embarcadero; Winshuttle, EFLOW, Appian, Service Now, Syndigo, Alation, etc.What will you need to be successful ?- 3-5 years experience in data management and/or governance.- Bachelors degree, or in country equivalent qualifications; or equivalent experience in a data management role.- Experience in Material master data(Raw Mat, semi-finish, finished goods,etc).- Experience in SAP/MS Dynamics Axapta system including mass upload.- A good understanding of data management principles and best practice.- Have a working knowledge of core data / analysis tools particularly Informatica, Winshuttle, MS Excel, Business Objects, SAP SQVI, Power BI, etc.- Recognized as a subject matter expert for data management and data quality for the region.- Advanced Excel skills, strong data analysis skills.- Ability to work across multiple source system including various SAP versions, Axapta, Eflow, Matrix, Movex, Syndigo, Alation,etc. (ref:hirist.tech)
