About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end technical support for desktops, laptops, applications, and IT infrastructure in a remote environment. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, proactive monitoring, and a customer-first approach to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities :


- Provide remote support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and enterprise applications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to OS (Windows/Mac/Linux), hardware, network connectivity, and software applications.

- Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of systems, applications, and security patches.

- Handle ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar) and ensure SLA adherence.

- Support Active Directory, user account management, and group policies.

- Provide remote assistance for VPN, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, and collaboration tools.

- Monitor IT assets, maintain inventory, and coordinate with vendors for escalations.

- Document troubleshooting procedures and create knowledge base articles for common issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT support processes.

- Ensure compliance with IT security standards and data protection policies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 48 years of proven experience in desktop/IT support (remote/global setup preferred).

- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.

- Experience with Office 365, Exchange, and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, Slack).

- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, VPN, and network troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or ManageEngine.

- Knowledge of endpoint security, antivirus, and data protection measures.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently in a remote setup with minimal supervision.

Good to Have :

- ITIL Foundation certification.

- CompTIA A+/N+, Microsoft, or other relevant certifications.

- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Experience supporting remote global teams across time zones.
