Job Summary: The Procurement Manager /Purchase Manager- Imports is responsible for the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services from international suppliers. This role involves identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with import

regulations, and managing logistics to ensure timely delivery. The successful candidate will have

extensive knowledge of global markets, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage

complex procurement processes.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management:

o Identify and evaluate potential international suppliers.

o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

2. Negotiation:

o Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms.

3. Procurement Planning and Execution:

o Develop and implement procurement strategies for international purchases.

o Coordinate with internal departments to understand and meet their procurement

needs.


4. Compliance and Risk Management:

o Ensure compliance with all import regulations, including customs and trade laws.

o Stay updated on changes in import regulations and adjust strategies accordingly.

5. Logistics and Supply Chain Management:

o Oversee the logistics of importing goods, including transportation, warehousing,

and distribution.

o Work with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of

goods.

o Resolve any issues related to shipping, customs clearance, or delivery.

6. Market Research and Analysis:

o Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in

global markets.

o Analyze data to inform procurement decisions and strategies.

o Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement

activities.
