Role : Prophet Developer/Model Developer

Key Responsibilities :

Model Development & Customization :

- Build, adapt, and maintain actuarial models using Prophet (also known as FIS Insurance Risk Suite), handling coding, data mapping, assumptions, and model logic for products like life, annuities, workforce benefits, etc.

System Integration :

- Seamlessly integrate Prophet with external systems such as SQL databases, Excel dashboards, reporting tools to enable efficient data flow and automation.

Testing & Debugging :

- Conduct comprehensive testing (e.g., peer reviews, validation) to ensure accuracy and performance of models. Debug issues and ensure robust model :

- Maintain clear, exhaustive documentation model specifications, configurations, assumptions, integration flows, and audit trails aligned with governance and Model Risk Management standards.

Training & Support :

- Provide training and support to users, empowering them to confidently operate and interpret Prophet models. Create training materials and tools.

Collaboration & Advisory :

- Act as the internal subject matter expert for Prophet, collaborating closely with actuarial teams, IT, transformation/stakeholder groups; guide junior staff and contribute to architecting scalable & Experience :

Actuarial Modeling Software :

- Strong experience in Prophet development coding, customizing, debugging, and maintaining actuarial models. Additional proficiency in DCS, Prophet Control Centre, or similar systems is a plus.

Actuarial & Programming Skills :

- Familiarity with actuarial programming languages (DCS) and strong ability in VBA, R, Python, SQL for data mapping, scripting, and automation.

Technical Integration Know-How :

- Demonstrated experience integrating Prophet models with databases, reporting tools (particularly Excel), and IT systems to enable streamlined of Actuarial Concepts :

- Strong understanding of actuarial modeling, product lines (life, annuities, workforce benefits), reserving, financial reporting, regulatory frameworks (e.g. LDTI, IFRS 17).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication, documentation, and training abilities. Detail-oriented, quality-focused, with strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership Profile Summary :

- The ideal candidate is an actuarial professional with hands-on Prophet expertise, capable of designing, building, integrating, and validating complex models.

- They should bring a blend of actuarial acumen and programming savvy particularly in DCS, VBA, R, Python, and SQL and be adept at training and collaborating across technical and actuarial teams.

- Experience with tools like Prophet, along with working knowledge for integration (databases, Excel, reporting platforms), is highly valuable.

- Candidates with exposure to financial/regulatory modeling (LDTI, IFRS 17, reserving) and strong documentation practices will excel.
