Job Overview

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all production activities adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves implementing quality control measures, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the production department.


Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Control Documentation

1. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control activities.

2. Document quality control procedures and maintain records as per company standards.

Inspection & Testing

1. Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

2. Ensure all inspections meet both company and industry standards.

Attention to Detail

1. Apply a keen eye for detail to identify deviations from quality standards.

2. Ensure product precision, consistency, and compliance with all quality specifications.

Compliance and Auditing

1. Stay current on industry regulations and ensure product compliance with regulatory and company standards.

2. Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and quality control evidence.

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions

1. Use systematic problem-solving methods to identify root causes of defects or quality issues.

2. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurring quality problems.

Quality Management Systems (QMS) Knowledge

1. Work within frameworks of QMS like ISO 9001, ISO 13485, Six Sigma, and other industry standards to ensure high quality and regulatory compliance.

Training and Team Development

1. Provide training and guidance on quality standards to production and inspection personnel.

2. Foster quality awareness and continuous improvement across the production team.

Reporting and Communication

1. Document quality metrics and issues effectively and generate detailed reports.

Skills & Competencies


Technical Proficiency

Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/SAP software.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Strong ability to analyze quality issues and implement effective solutions promptly.

Attention to Detail

Exceptional focus on quality control, ensuring all products meet the highest standards.

Compliance Knowledge

Familiar with quality standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, with practical experience in compliance.

Effective Communication

Ability to document findings clearly and communicate effectively across teams.

Education and Experience

Education : Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

Additional Certifications : Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an asset.
