Job Description:

We are seeking a talented PCB Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and communications engineering, with hands-on experience in PCB design using Altium Designer. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs) for our bio-instrumentation devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PCBs using Altium Designer, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to define PCB requirements and constraints.
  • Conduct schematic capture, layout, and routing of PCBs, considering signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management.
  • Perform design reviews and optimise PCB layouts for manufacturability, reliability, and performance.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Gerber files, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of PCB prototypes and production units.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PCB design and fabrication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
  • Proven hands-on experience in PCB design using Altium Designer.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and signal integrity principles.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for PCB design.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing PCBs for bio-instrumentation or medical devices.
  • Familiarity with high-speed digital design, RF layout, and EMC considerations.
  • Experience with 3D modelling and integration of mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and materials.
