Job Title (Designation) : Windows Administrator AM II/DM IIDepartment : Information Technology -InfrastructureReports to : VP-ITExperience : 4 / 5 Years of work experience (Banking environment preferred)Required Qualification : Diploma in Engineering/Any Graduation DegreePreferred Qualification : Diploma in Engineering/Any Graduation DegreeSkill, Knowledge & Trainings :- Should have hands on experience on installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Server based OSE viz.- Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022 and various infrastructures roles viz.LDAP, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server etc.- Should have hands on experience on installation, configuration and troubleshooting of VMware ESXi hypervisor, Host Client, vCenter management and well versed with core VMware functionalities viz. vMotion, svMotion, DRS, HA, vSAN, VUM, vSphere Lifecycle Management (vLCM) etc- Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, CIS hardening, host.- Management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive maintenance and management of updates, firmware, patches to ensure that the system is timely updated.- Should have expertise on various Windows based management / monitoring tools like SCCM/MECM for patch management and application deployment, SAM for resource monitoring, Airlock for application whitelisting etc.- Should have expertise to provide first level support for NAS Storage, SAN storage, SAN switch, Network switch- Ability to strengthen information security posture for Windows & VMWare OSE in consultation with IS Security team such as VA/PT/CIS Hardening scans and closure.- Exposure to Business Continuity Plan for on On-City Data Center, State Level Datacenter or other Cloud operations etc.Core Competencies :- Excellent communication skills- Self-motivated & Self starter- Ability to quickly adopt to new technologies- Ability to thrive on Competencies :Job Purpose : - The Server administrators (or sysadmin or systems administrator) will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of windows and VMware servers.- Server Administrator installs hardware and software, and participates in continuously improve and keep up with the backend servers/ systems of applications hosted- On City Datacenter / State Data Center / Cloud Infrastructure.- Server administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the department.Area of Operations Key Responsibility :Windows OSE :- Monitoring system performance to ensure proper functioning of business application servers and Infra servers- Managing (Hardening, OS troubleshooting etc.) of various Infra based and application servers- Active Directory & File Server management viz. User Creation, Share Creation, Quota Management, AD /DNS replication monitoring, GPO implementation.- Managing NAS based File Server- Managing Application Whitelisting on Windows based servers through centralized tool namely Airlock- As part of BCP program, maintaining Servers at alternate & DR location and also maintaining replication mechanism for business & infra servers.- Diagnosing and resolving tickets logged in service desk for WinSys support requests.- Planning, coordinating and performing maintenance activities viz. upgradation /patch installation & deployment of software's via SCCM- Ensure compliance with IS security policies and procedures viz. CIS Hardening of servers, integration with PIM, responding to SOC alerts etc.- Procurement and renewal of intel server hardware / AMC and Microsoft server- based product licenses and support- Audit / VAPT observation closureVMware Infra :- Supporting & Maintaining VMware Infra viz.ESXi Servers, vCenter Mgmt Server, SAN Storage, SAN Switches etc. This includes creation of New VMs, Configuration/Creation of vSwitch and vLAN, Patch Installation on ESXi Server etc.- Supporting & Maintaining Intel /VMware Hardware Infra which includes, troubleshooting hardware issues, logging calls with vendors, Ensuring call closure etc.- Periodic VMware SnS renewal- Audit / VAPT observation closureAny Other Requirement : Flexible to work in shift duties- - - - - - - (ref:hirist.tech)
