The Invest Payments & Banking Forum by Giakaa Capitalis an exclusive gathering of banks, fintech innovators, blockchain pioneers, regulators, and investors, exploring the future of payments, banking, and decentralized finance. As part of the event's innovation showcase, we are assembling a special projects tech team to build and demonstrate cutting-edge blockchain solutions for the financial sector.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Blockchain Developer to work with our event innovation team to design and deliver a functional prototype/demo for display during the Forum. This is a high-impact, short-term engagement ideal for someone passionate about blockchain in payments and banking.

Responsibilities


•⁠ ⁠Build a working blockchain-based prototype (e.g., cross-border payments, tokenized assets, stablecoin settlement) for live or recorded demonstration at the Forum


•⁠ ⁠Develop and deploy smart contracts on Ethereum, Polygon, XDC, or other suitable networks


•⁠ ⁠Integrate blockchain with payment APIs and banking systems for demonstration purposes


•⁠ ⁠Ensure prototype security and reliability for public showcasing


•⁠ ⁠Work closely with product and event teams to align with the Forum theme and audience


•⁠ ⁠Prepare a short technical brief and assist in presenting the solution during the event

Requirements


•⁠ ⁠Strong experience with Solidity, Web3.js/ethers.js, and smart contract development


•⁠ ⁠Understanding of financial use cases: payments, remittances, asset tokenization, DeFi


•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with stablecoins, CBDCs, and Layer 2 scaling solutions


•⁠ ⁠Ability to work in a fast-paced, short-deadline environment


•⁠ ⁠Bonus: Experience with Hyperledger, R3 Corda, or XDC Network
