Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze requirements, and provide solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals. This role involves gathering and analyzing data, creating documentation, and working with cross-functional teams to implement improvements that drive business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and define project scope.
  • Analyze and document complex business processes, workflows, and requirements.
  • Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Develop functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and wireframes.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify process improvements and areas of opportunity.
  • Lead requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
  • Evaluate business performance by analyzing data, metrics, and KPIs, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure that project requirements are met and align with the business’s strategic goals.
  • Assist in project management tasks, including timeline estimation, risk assessment, and resource planning.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts and team members.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure smooth communication and project success.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a proven track record in business analysis and process improvement.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or certification in Business Analysis is a plus).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide insights.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello.
  • Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to solve problems, manage conflicts, and drive consensus.
  • Tools: Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Certifications: CBAP, PMP, or Agile certification.
  • Domain Knowledge: Industry-specific knowledge in areas like finance, healthcare, e-commerce, etc.
  • Advanced Data Skills: Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
