Your Role: As a Platform Architect on the Engineering Platforms team, you will define and drive the architectural strategy for internal developer platforms and enterprise services.You'lllead cross-functional initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and developer-friendly solutions that align with Invesco's enterprise vision. This role requires deep technicalexpertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for enabling engineering excellence at scale. You willdemonstratea willingness to explore and contribute to new and exciting initiatives, whilemaintainingaccountability for foundational engineering work that ensures platform stability, scalability, and long-term success. Key Responsibilities / Duties: Define and evolve the architectural vision for internal developer platforms and enterprise services.Lead the design and implementation of reusable patterns, frameworks, and integration strategies that promote platform maturity and developer enablement.Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams to align platform capabilities with enterprise goals.ChampionDevSecOpspractices and CI/CD maturity using tools such as Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, and Artifactory.Guide and support platform integrations including:Asset management (Artifactory)Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)API Management platforms (MuleSoft preferred)Power Platform for low-code/no-code solutionsGitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development toolsAdvocate for automation and self-service engineering across the organization.Support the services you architect andparticipatein an on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability andtimelyissue resolution.Represent the team in enterprise architecture forums and governance bodies.Mentor engineers and lead by example in applying best practices and execution excellence.Promote a collaborative and engaging culture across global teams.Work Experience / Knowledge: Atleast9+years of professional software development experience.Proven experience in software architecture and platform engineering.Deepexpertisein Java and object-oriented programming.Expertunderstanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Strongproficiencyworkingin agile development teams.Strongproficiencydevelopingwith CI/CD tools and practices.Proven experience in software architecture and platform engineering.Expertisein AWS isrequired, multi-cloud experience preferred.PreferredSkills / Other Personal Attributes Required: Demonstrates a willingness to explore and contribute to new and exciting initiatives, whilemaintainingaccountability for foundational engineering work that ensures platform stability, scalability, and long-term success.Experience with cloud-based platforms (Snowflakeand AWS are preferred)Exposure to testing and automation tools (JUnit, Selenium, JMeter).Experience with developer experience tools and frameworks.Self-motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOpen minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people's opinionsStrong organizational skills and detail orientationAbility to react positively under pressure to meet tight deadlinesMust havea strong senseof urgency and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task assorted tasks dailyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Formal Education: ABachelor's Degree inComputer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineeringor related field of study or equivalent years of direct work experience.Full Time / Part Time Full time Worker Type Employee Job Exempt (Yes / No) YesWorkplace Model At Invesco, our workplace model supports our culture and meets the needs of our clients while providing flexibility our employees value.
