Job Description: Senior Communications & Control Systems Engineer Job Title: Senior RF Engineer – Communications & Control Systems Location: Hyderabad, INDIA Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Senior (5+ Years) Department: Electronics & Communications | Defence SystemsAbout the Role We are seeking aSenior RF Engineerwith specialized experience inRF communications and control systems for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs)and other military platforms. This role requires a strong background inRF telecommunication design, antenna systems, RF front-end (RFFE) development, and control system integration for tactical environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for thedesign, simulation, integration, and validation of RF and wireless subsystems, ensuring robust and secure communication in GPS-challenged, hostile, and dynamic defence scenarios. Experience withMIL-grade standards, EMI/EMC validation, and OTA testingis essential.Key Responsibilities Design and integration of RF communication platforms(e.g., 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, GPS/GNSS, Bluetooth) into defence-grade UGVs and autonomous systems. Design and simulateantennas, matching networks, and RF front-end modulesusing industry-standard tools (e.g., HFSS, CST, ADS). Performlink budget, power budget, and range analysisfor tactical wireless systems under military operating conditions. Develop and validatetransceiver modulesfor rugged platforms ensuring reliable data links under jamming/interference threats. Create and reviewcircuit schematics, and collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers for optimallayout, thermal, and shielding integration. ConductEMI/EMC simulations and validationsin accordance with MIL-STD and ISO guidelines. Overseelab testing, bench validation. ExecuteOver-the-Air (OTA) testingin shielded chambers for wireless compliance, range validation, and RF coexistence studies. IntegrateRF communication systems with onboard control systemsand vehicle autonomy stacks. Work withcommunication protocolsincluding CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet for system-level integration. Contribute tocontrol system design and integrationfor remote vehicle operation, telemetry, and command systems.Required Qualifications & Skills B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Techin Electronics & Communications, RF Engineering, or equivalent. 5+ yearsof experience in RF system design, preferably formilitary or aerospace applications. Proven track record inantenna design, RFFE development, and multi-protocol wireless system design. Deep expertise inRF circuit design and simulation tools: HFSS, CST Studio Suite, ADS, OrCAD. Experience inGNSS systems, RF power amplifiers, filters, and impedance-matching networks. Proficient withtest and measurement equipment. Hands-on experience inOTA chamber testing,EMI/EMC pre-complianceand full compliance evaluations. Familiarity withmilitary standards(MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.) andquality systems(ISO, AS9100). Strong command overcontrol systems design, including telemetry integration, signal flow mapping, and feedback loop implementation.
