Role Description

  • Buyer Handling: Communicate effectively with international buyers for product development, order execution, and approvals.
  • Product Development: Coordinate with design and sampling teams to develop new collections in hard goods (furniture & decorative items) as per seasonal trends.
  • Costing & Negotiation: Prepare product costing sheets and handle price negotiations in coordination with the management.
  • Production Follow-up: Coordinate with internal production teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of material and readiness of the order with desired quality control.
  • Documentation: Ensure all documentation (PI, PO, approvals, test reports) is in place and properly maintained.
  • Quality & Compliance: Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure product quality and adherence to buyer specifications.
  • Reporting: Maintain and share regular reports on order status, delivery schedules, and risk management.

Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Merchandising, Export Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising in an export house dealing with hard goods or home décor.
  • Strong understanding of materials such as leather, MDF, veneer, raffia, and fabric.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in email correspondence and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts/orders simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of international quality standards and compliance processes is preferred.
