Simplotel is a Shopify for Hotels, was founded in October 2013 and is funded by Go-MMT - Indias largest Online Travel Overview :The CTO/ VP of Engineering will be responsible for leading the technology and engineering agenda of Simplotel. This position requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation, manage complex engineering projects, and lead a team of engineers to deliver world-class products and solutions. The role involves close collaboration with other departments to ensure that the technology infrastructure supports the companys overall goals.Responsibilities :- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.- Serve as the technical expert, designing and architecting scalable solutions while leveraging modern technologies to enhance productivity, scalability, and cost-efficiency.- Ensure optimal performance and high availability of our SaaS software, with effective management of live site operations.- Implement and enforce engineering processes, including design reviews, code reviews, and the Software Development Life Cycle.- Oversee software development projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery while identifying and mitigating risks.- Own and optimize infrastructure costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.- Manage operational requests from other teams, addressing their productivity needs and ensuring alignment with internal requirements.- Present technology vision and architectural strategies to customers, investors, and both internal and external stakeholders.- Experience in driving Product Management is a desirable plus.Requirements :- Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles- Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills- Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into actionable engineering plans- Visionary leader with a passion for technology and innovation- Results-driven with a strong focus on quality and operational excellence- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions- Proven project management expertise with experience in infrastructure and live site management- Proficiency in the latest technologies and trends- Effective team management abilities (ref:hirist.tech)
