Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Leadership:
  • Lead the design and development of high-end bridal and couture collections, aligned with Bibas brand vision and consumer needs.
  • Create original designs with a focus on intricate embroidery, luxury fabrics, and innovative silhouettes that reflect Indian craftsmanship with modern sensibilities.
  • Conceptualize and design seasonal collections from ideation to final sample approval.
  1. Trend Research & Innovation:
  • Stay updated with global and local fashion trends, especially in the bridal and couture segment.
  • Bring fresh ideas to the team, integrating traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary design elements.
  • Research new fabrics, materials, and embellishment techniques to incorporate into the designs.
  1. Collaborative Development:
  • Collaborate with the merchandising and production teams to ensure feasibility of designs in terms of cost, production, and timelines.
  • Work closely with artisans and vendors to ensure the highest quality in embroidery, printing, and other detailed craftsmanship.
  • Partner with the marketing team to provide creative direction for photoshoots, campaigns, and lookbooks.
  1. Client Customization & High-end Collaborations:
  • Be involved in customization requests from high-profile clients, ensuring exclusive and personalized designs.
  • Manage special projects, including luxury collaborations and limited-edition collections for fashion shows or exclusive clientele.
  1. Team Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Provide mentorship to junior designers and interns, guiding them in design techniques, concept development, and fashion innovation.
  • Lead the design team to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of creative output.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in designing bridal or couture wear, preferably with high-end designers.
  • Proven ability to work with luxury fabrics, intricate embellishments, and detailed craftsmanship.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise in couture and bridal wear.
  • Degree in Fashion Design from a reputed fashion institute.
  • Strong understanding of Indian textiles, embroidery techniques, and bridal fashion.
  • Excellent sketching, draping, and illustration skills, with proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).

  • Creative flair with a deep understanding of luxury fashion and Indian couture.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
