At Tejas Networks, System Engineering team, integral to the PLM organization, plays a crucial role in crafting every successful customer experience. Comprising skilled and committed professionals from various wireline technology domains, the team ensures that customers enjoy a seamless and gratifying journey from pre-sales through to network deployment and beyond. System Engineering division is a close-knit group of network enthusiasts dedicated to designing and implementing robust, maintenance-free networks that stand the test of time.
What you work:
As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for driving technical projects, managing resources effectively, balancing team workloads. You will design solutions, oversee testing, and mentor junior engineers to ensure productivity and skill development. Also, you will manage resources, troubleshoot, debug issues, writing and reviewing test cases to ensure code quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Initial deployments of new optical products, new optical technology, major feature roll outs
- Stage the customer deployment in lab to replicate field scenarios and test the solution prior to field deployment
- Responsible to document LLD based on HLD
- Responsible for RFI/RFP.
- Be a customer champion for deployment, solutioning and technical concerns
- Handle product demonstrations, lab and field Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Prepare test plans for POCs, demos and carry out internal testing of the same
- Be the Subject Matter Expert on product capabilities and network solutions
- Work with the SE team to prepare and enhance solution documents based on lab validation
- Interact with diverse teams like R&D, Product Management and Sales team to understand the customer requirements
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with NSG & TAC Team
- Develop and implement network security measures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Mandatory skills:
- Should be willing to travel
- Should have hands on experience in optical product testing, optical product deployments in the field
- Should have customer interaction experience
Desired skills:
- Should have customer interaction experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 7 to 10 yrs from Telecommunication or Networking background.
- Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree
- Should be well versed in OTN, DWDM, Optical link budgeting and GMPLS
