It is envisaged this role will grow to support the contracting across the entire RUK operating companies

Key Priorities of the role:

Customer Services

Prioritise the customer experience, such that the internal perception of the team is one of a team which is focused on working closely with the Pareto sales team to assist them in contracting with their clients in a timely, no fuss fashion

New Opportunities

  • work closely with the business to understand relative priorities and timeframes for delivery, and manage stakeholder/client expectations accordingly
  • provide confident and constructive challenge to assess whether new opportunities align with our contract approval policy, putting the overall business interests first rather than those of the individual consultant/manager
  • review contracts to ensure that any amendments to standard terms are in alignment with Pareto’s commercial policy/playbook
  • oversee the progression of opportunities through the contracting process to ensure all matters are progressing in a timely manner

Contracts Management

  • Assist with the roll-out of signed contracts, to ensure key stakeholders are aware of what has been agreed
  • Experience recruitment or other service industry experience is preferable but by no means essential

  • Commercial contracts experience in a ‘supplier’ organization
  • Understanding of outsourcing, procurement, and supply chain contracting
  • Understanding of the dynamics of working in a medium to large international company
  • Previous business partner relationships
  • 4-6 years of industry experience in reviewing contracts
  • Legal background: Bachelors degree in Legal is mandatory

Other necessary attributes

  • commercial outlook that drives the prioritization, decision making, and individual credibility necessary to be a successful business partner
  • confidence to actively participate in and lead challenging conversations
  • a strong work ethic and a desire to win (but resilient in defeat)
  • excellent workload management, with the ability to manage expectations and the confidence to say ‘no’ when required
  • comfortable dealing with a large volume of matters simultaneously
  • self-starter, and therefore able to work with minimal supervision to deliver to deadlines and progress matters independently, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed at all times and matters are seen through to completion in a timely manner
  • interpersonal skills necessary to influence and inspire, with the ability to forge strong working relationships with colleagues within the team and across the business
  • ensure the first impression others have of the Legal function lives up to our desire to be seen as efficient, pragmatic and friendly
  • commitment to excellence, integrity and maintenance of standards - a role model for colleagues
