Please do not contact the recruiter directly.DESCRIPTION: Area Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives of our Amazon Fresh Fulfillment Center. Additional responsibilitiesinclude managing and leading a team of Team Leads, coaching andmentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, buildingpositive employee relations and building leadership bench strengthwithin the Fulfillment Center.ØDrives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process changeinitiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable theirFunctional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed BusinessPlan.Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for Area Managers.ØMeasures performance, provides feedback, and holds Team leadsaccountable for their performance and the performance of theirdepartments.ØTakes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.ØWorks closely with support staff (HR Manager, Financial Manager,Facilities Manager, S&LP Manager, and Other Ops. Managers, ITManager) to build and secure support and resources for projects andinitiatives in his/her area, as well as providing needed support andresources for other staff initiatives.ØAble to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area.ØSurface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas,along with ideas for solutions, to Sr. Ops, General Manager and / or HR.Four key areas that you'll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department. • Review the work forecasts and determine your productivityrequirements to produce during the day to meet the overall buildingobjectives. • Partner with other Area Managers to balance laborensuring that you are operating a balanced and efficient shift whilemeeting all of your goals. • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates. • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean toolsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 3+ years of employee and performance management experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience - Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experienceOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
