This role will be essential in driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and growth of our medical tourism and global healthcare business.

Reporting directly to the Founders, the Head of Business Operations and Planning (Vice President Role) will play a pivotal role in aligning cross-functional teams, developing strategic initiatives, optimizing processes, and supporting high-impact projects that improve our patient experience, streamline operations, and scale our business globally.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the company’s overall strategy, setting short-term and long-term objectives that align with growth goals in the global healthcare market.
  • Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and service expansions in medical tourism, working closely with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives to drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction, ensuring seamless patient experiences.
  • Overseeing MIS, Data & Reporting to the Founders


Operations & Process Optimization

  • Build and optimize processes to streamline operations across patient care, logistics, provider partnerships, and support functions.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements, reducing costs and increasing efficiency in areas such as patient journey management, provider network expansion, and international logistics.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, providing actionable insights to drive performance improvements and support data-informed decision-making.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and expand the BizOps team, ensuring team members are aligned with company objectives and empowered to drive impact.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture within the team, promoting open communication and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Set individual and team goals, providing regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.


Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand trends in the medical tourism industry, patient expectations, and competitor offerings.
  • Generate insights to inform business development, marketing strategies, and international expansion efforts.
  • Monitor industry regulations and compliance requirements in different markets to ensure operational adherence and mitigate risks.


Partnership Development

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships of the company globally.
  • Collaborate with the business development sales and marketing teams to strengthen our brand presence and value proposition within the medical tourism industry.


Financial & Performance Management

  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for BizOps projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive financial and operational modeling to assess the ROI of projects and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee key performance metrics, delivering regular updates and recommendations to the executive team to support company goals.


Requirements:

Experience: 10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, management consulting, or a similar leadership role, with a focus on healthcare or international services preferred.


Education: MBA from a top university (IIM or equivalent)


Skills:

  • Proven experience in strategic planning, business analytics, and project management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations
  • Ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies to achieve operational efficiencies and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing and growing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.


Preferred:

  • Experience with scaling a business in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM, data analysis, and project management tools (e.g., PowerBI, etc).
  • Knowledge of multiple languages or experience working in multicultural environments is a plus.
