Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lift Engineer to install, maintain, repair, and modernize lifts, elevators, and escalators in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems and a strong understanding of safety protocols and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, service, and repair lifts/elevators and escalators as per manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Complete service reports, job cards, and maintenance records accurately.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and support teams when necessary.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
  • Attend training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and safety standards.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
  • Valid Lift/Elevator Technician certification (where applicable).
  • Health & Safety certifications (e.g., CSCS, IPAF, PASMA) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in lift/elevator installation, maintenance, or repair.
  • Experience working with various lift types (hydraulic, traction, MRL, etc.).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
