Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lift Engineer to install, maintain, repair, and modernize lifts, elevators, and escalators in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems and a strong understanding of safety protocols and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, service, and repair lifts/elevators and escalators as per manufacturer specifications and safety standards.- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing.- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure timely resolution.- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.- Complete service reports, job cards, and maintenance records accurately.- Collaborate with other engineers and support teams when necessary.- Provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.- Attend training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and safety standards.Requirements:Education & Certification:- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.- Valid Lift/Elevator Technician certification (where applicable).- Health & Safety certifications (e.g., CSCS, IPAF, PASMA) are a plus.Experience:- 2+ years of experience in lift/elevator installation, maintenance, or repair.- Experience working with various lift types (hydraulic, traction, MRL, etc.).Skills:- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.- Good communication and customer service skills.- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
