Role Details

St Joseph’s School, Barmera, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our team on a 12-month replacement contract .

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the learning and wellbeing of students in a supportive Catholic school community. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to improving student learning outcomes, fostering positive relationships with students, families and colleagues, and actively contributing to the faith and life of the school.

We’re seeking a Primary Teacher who will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated learning experiences across all Key Learning Areas, grounded in faith, hope, respect, and love, in line with our Josephite tradition.
  • Support students with diverse gifts, talents, and learning needs, collaborating with the team and Leader of Learning.
  • Establish a nurturing, faith‑centred, and academically stimulating classroom environment that supports wellbeing and encourages students to flourish.
  • Apply effective assessment and reporting practices that foster student growth and constructive feedback for both students and families.
  • Contribute to pastoral care, sharing our core values, Kind, Safe and Learning,  and embracing St Mary MacKillop's philosophy to, "Never see a need without doing something about it".
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in curriculum development, and continuous professional learning to support excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Participate in school activities, co-curricular programs, and whole-school events.

Essential Position Requirements: 

  • Current Teacher Registration
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012)
  • RRHAN-EC Master Class Certificate
