Ltd., engaged in building next-generation high-performance vessels for the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and Indian Army.Our production portfolio spans Fast Patrol Boats (FPBs), Fast Rescue Craft (FRCs), Landing Craft Assault (LCAs), Gemini Boats, and Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs)—developed under the Make in India program in partnership with global OEMs and technology collaborators.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Manager – Shipbuilding Yard to oversee the full spectrum of manufacturing operations, quality control, and delivery management for our Pune shipyard. The role demands strong leadership, deep technical understanding of composite and aluminium boatbuilding, and a proven ability to drive high-performance teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations- Lead and manage end-to-end production for FPBs, FRCs, LCAs, and RHIBs. - Supervise hull fabrication, outfitting, machinery installation, and commissioning. - Ensure compliance with IRS, BV, and defence QA standards. - Maintain production schedules, resource allocation, and delivery timelines.Project Coordination- Coordinate across design, procurement, QA, and logistics teams for seamless execution. - Manage vendor relationships, subcontractor performance, and material supply. - Liaise with defence clients and inspection agencies for project milestones and documentation.Team Management- Supervise technical and shop-floor staff including welders, laminators, electricians, and fitters. - Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and productivity. - Train and mentor new recruits in modern marine fabrication practices.Technical Oversight- Review construction drawings, layouts, and work instructions. - Oversee integration of propulsion, hydraulic, and electrical systems. - Conduct quality audits and support factory acceptance and sea trials.Process & Cost Control- Implement lean shipbuilding practices, optimize material usage, and minimize rework. - Track project costs, efficiency metrics, and manpower utilization. - Identify areas for process improvement and capacity enhancement.Qualifications & Experience- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Naval Architecture, Marine, Mechanical, or Production Engineering. - Experience: 8–15 years in shipbuilding / boatbuilding (defence or commercial). - Proven hands-on experience with FRP/GRP, aluminium, or HDPE craft manufacturing. - Strong knowledge of propulsion systems, outfitting, and naval standards. - Familiarity with defence procurement (GeM, DAP 2020, QA, IRS) is preferred.Key Skills- Leadership & Team Management - Production Planning & Execution - Vendor & Project Coordination - Technical Documentation & QA/QC - Cost Control & Delivery Management - Excellent Communication (English; additional languages an advantage)Why Join Us- Opportunity to build India's future generation of defence and rescue craft. - Exposure to international OEM partnerships and advanced marine technologies. - Fast-paced environment with direct responsibility and high impact. - Open to Indian and foreign nationals with relevant experience. - Immediate joining and relocation support available in Pune.Location: Kian Shipbuilding Yard – [Pune/MH, India]To Apply: admin@indogroup.asiaLet's build India's future at sea together.
