Estimation Engineer

The role involves preparing quotations based on customer requirements and collaborating with Business Development Managers to ensure timely and accurate proposals. Responsibilities Prepare quotations for solutions based on customer requirements and advice from Business Development Managers. Review customer specifications and drawings, and complete client datasheets. Build and maintain quote files, including system and battery bank sizing. Populate quote templates and pricing spreadsheets. Deliver proposals within the required deadlines. Process Sales Orders through ABEL software. Provide CAD drawings and documentation as required. Ensure all job files are complete before transfer to the production team. Respond to enquiries and requests within the same workday. Adhere strictly to the company’s pricing policy and selling strategies. Continuously develop knowledge of Magellan’s products and services. Work additional hours as required to meet deadlines. Other Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies. Adhere to the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) policies & procedures. Actively participate in providing information regarding the development and maintenance of the company’s IMS. Suggest improvements and be active in the general improvement of all systems and methods of work to ensure the company supports activities and services that are carried out in a reliable and cost-effective manner. Report all known hazards and incidents to ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner as per company procedure. Qualifications Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or similar field (preferred). Required Skills Strong understanding of electrical systems, battery banks, and related power solutions . Deep knowledge of power conversion equipment , including DC battery chargers and UPS systems . Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and datasheets accurately. Proficiency in AutoCAD (or DraftSight ) for preparing and modifying technical drawings. Familiarity with quotation systems, pricing templates, and proposal documentation . Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including use of pricing and cost analysis spreadsheets . Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines . Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., ABEL , Zoho , or equivalent) is an advantage.
