Description

One should be able to manage relationships with key business areas (or departments) which rely on the successful implementation of projects. Provide project management of significant business sponsored projects, ensuring the timely completion of IT-related work. Act as communication hub between the business and respective program team for planning, monitoring and controlling of activities.

Must have

  • End to end Data projects cycle experience on any tech stack as lead in past.
  • Data bricks /AWS combination is added advantage with Tableau /Lumira combination.
  • SAP as source system experiences is also added advantage
  • Handled projects as involving Data ingestion, Transformation /Modelling, Consumption layer consumed in visualization (Lumira/Table).
  • Familiarity on AI/ML & Gen AI latest happening and use cases.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Manage business relationships in specific business departments to support clear communication and understanding on progress and priority on the department’s IT-related projects.
  • Manage and communicate processes for analysis, scheduling, and decision making for correct assignment of system and project priorities.
  • Lead and coordinate project scoping sessions with key business departments to ensure clear understanding of new IT projects.
  • Partner with business to create, manage and communicate integrated business and IT timeline for significant IT projects.
  • Apply project controls that may include but are not limited to Project scoping, identification of timelines and key milestones, tracking project budget, status reporting, managing risk and issue logs, change control, and post implementation reviews.
  • Support the maturation of the IT PMO department via the refinement of processes, templates, and tools. For projects not managed by the IT PMO, provide guidance and tools to assist individuals with standard project management principals.
  • Coordinate evaluation of system priorities with other PMs. Support business areas (as needed) for projects to be presented for prioritization at systems governance meetings. Communicate and support prioritization to business areas and IT between governance meetings. Support and assist corporate governance process with scoping process for large projects.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (PMP/CSM), preferably in Business or Information Management
  • 8+ years of project management and/or business systems experience
  • Understanding and familiarity with project management and portfolio management best practices
  • Understanding and familiarity with agile processes and methodologies
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to communicate and report initiative and project status to variety of business audiences
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational and motivational skills
