Job Purpose:

The Planning Engineer (MEP) will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) works for datacenter projects. The role involves coordinating with project teams, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining alignment with project budgets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
  • Prepare work breakdown structure (WBS), project baseline, and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Track progress of MEP activities (HVAC, Electrical, Firefighting, Plumbing, ELV, etc.) and report deviations.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, site execution, and subcontractors to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Conduct project review meetings, highlighting critical activities and risks.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Assist in resource forecasting, productivity analysis, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and datacenter-specific standards.
  • Support project close-out activities including as-built schedules and documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • 4 - 10 years of experience in planning & scheduling of MEP works, preferably in datacenter / industrial / large commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Firefighting, ELV).
  • Good analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to datacenter projects or critical infrastructure facilities.
  • Knowledge of project cost control, earned value management, and risk analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
