Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and enhance comprehensive disaster recovery plans and frameworks in alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify vulnerabilities and critical assets.
- Leadership and Oversight:
- Lead disaster recovery testing initiatives, ensuring all plans are thoroughly validated and documented.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Level 1 and Level 2 team members on DR best practices and methodologies.
- Incident Management:
- Serve as a key member of the incident response team, coordinating recovery efforts during actual disaster scenarios.
- Oversee the execution of recovery strategies and maintain communication with stakeholders.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all DR plans and procedures are current, compliant with regulations, and reflect industry standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on DR activities, test results, and compliance metrics for executive review.
- Training and Awareness:
- Design and implement training programs for employees on disaster recovery protocols and incident response.
- Foster a culture of preparedness within the organization through awareness campaigns and workshops.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Analyse post-incident reviews and testing outcomes to identify areas for improvement in DR processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in disaster recovery and business continuity.
