Position: Technical Lead (Quality Engineering)


Responsibilities & Deliverables:


  • Work with software architects and developers throughout the software development life cycle to develop and implement the software test strategy and plan.
  • Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, system, integration, regression, load/performance, automation, and UAT.
  • Participate in design, code, and test plan reviews as needed and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
  • Estimate testing efforts, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Provide internal training to ensure QA standards are taught and implemented.
  • Lead investigation teams and ensure proper close-out and follow-up.
  • Review all documentation, including release notes, MOPs, and monitoring data.
  • Display understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer.
  • Act as a backup to the quality assurance manager as needed.
  • Actively support escalated issues from both internal and external customers.
  • Develop others and ensure training and learning of team members.
  • Performs quality audits to ensure quality standards, procedures, methods, and duologies are followed by the QA Team.
  • Make decisions independently and notify management of action taken.
  • Must be able to perform the role of a tester to keep the project on track.


Skills :


  • In depth knowledge telecom testing, concepts & end to end call flows along with QA expertise in Telecom Core Network.
  • Strong experience in IMS/ LTE/ 5G technology.
  • Strong knowledge on telecom wireless protocols like SS7, SIP, Diameter, GTP, SMPP, HTTP, etc.
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop / Spark / no-SQL / Oozie / Hive/ Presto / Postgres / Etc.
  • Strong knowledge on Linux systems, installation & troubleshooting.
  • Prior experience in test design and execution capabilities, clear understanding of Test case, Test Plan, Test Strategy, etc.
  • Experience in leading a small team is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express technical concepts in business terms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work on multiple complex projects, meet deadlines, and deal with conflicting priorities. Having the ability to multitask is a must.
  • Strong leadership skills are required. Having the ability to work individually and within a team is a must.
  • Previous experience with large projects utilizing virtual teams is required.


Educational Qualification:


B.E. / B.Tech. , M.E./M. Tech. or M. Sc. in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / MCA Advanced degree preferred

Experience Level:


Overall 6 to 10 years in Quality Engineering with more than 3 years in Bigdata Analytics
