Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated L2 Network Engineer to support, monitor, and maintain our network should be capable of resolving escalated issues from the L1 support team, managing network incidents, and performing advanced troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of switching, routing, firewalls, and enterprise networking tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor and respond to network incidents and alerts escalated from L1 support.

- Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN, WLAN, and VPN connectivity issues.

- Assist with the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

- Work with vendors and ISPs to resolve outages and performance issues.

- Perform routine network maintenance and firmware upgrades.

- Maintain and update network documentation and diagrams.

- Collaborate with senior engineers to escalate complex issues or participate in long-term projects.

- Analyze network performance and suggest improvements.

- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 2+ years of experience in network operations or support role.

- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, etc.

- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Paloalto or similar networking equipment.

- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).

- Understanding of firewall and security configurations (e., ASA, FortiGate, Palo Alto).

- Experience with VPNs and remote access technologies.

- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and configurations.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification (CCNP is a plus).

Working Conditions :

- May require occasional travel to data centers

- Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation may be required.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
