Client of Alp Consulting Ltd, which is a leading Product company is looking for Director of Engineering & Site Leader.In this role, you’ll be leading and scaling the Hub in Bangalore – the centerpiece of global software development. With a strong focus on software engineering leadership, you will guide a growing team of developers and technology experts in alignment with Technology Leadership Team, while also overseeing a smaller shared services team (mainly financial services).What You’ll Do- Lead & Scale the Hub: You mainly build and expand our software engineering and technology team, delivering reliable, high-quality solutions embedded in global access solutions framework. - Engineering Leadership: You shape technical direction as part of Technology Leadership Team, and act as a sparring partner for product and development leaders worldwide. Drive agile, DevOps, and quality practices. - General Management: You oversee financial planning, compliance, and reporting for the Bangalore entity. You also ensure smooth integration of local support and shared service functions into global workflows. - Talent & Culture: Attract, develop, and retain top (engineering) talent in India. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. - Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key interface to global leadership, bridging between India, and the wider network.What You Bring- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Proven leadership experience in software development/engineering, ideally in an international tech environment. - Strong understanding of agile development, DevOps, and quality assurance. - General management skills – financial oversight, compliance, and cross-functional leadership. - Intercultural leadership experience, ideally managing teams across Europe and India. - Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus, but not a pre-requisite. - Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to scale an international hub.What You Can Expect- Strategic Impact: Shape the growth of the Hub Bangalore and contribute to the overall Business Success. - Global Collaboration: Work closely with our HQ, global tech and support functions leadership, and engage with other stakeholders. - Growth Opportunity: Clear development path in a growing environment. - Leadership Development: Continuous support and training to grow as a leader and build bridges across cultures & teams. - Work Environment: Modern office setup, strong team culture.
