Airtel product team is building the next wave of digital products to meet customers’ needs. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced product manager for our Payments charter who can propel our Monthly transacting users (MTUs) and experience to the next level. The product manager would be owning our Payments Platform and checkout, UPI and BBPS products with a mandate to increase conversion thereby growing MTUs and will lead the payments product team at Airtel.

This individual will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and other departments to manage consumer payments experience on Airtel Thanks app and web. The ideal candidate is user-obsessed and why-centric. He is both strategic and detail-oriented, has proven product management experience, and works well with stakeholders. This role requires the individual to have prior experience in consumer payments, knowledge of how payment aggregators work.

He/she would get an opportunity to work at a scale of millions of users and would experience building products for the next billion first hand. Responsibilities

Grow the transacting users for Payments platform, UPI, BBPS by co-owning product experience with the squad

  1. Create and maintain clear product roadmap

Work with cross-functional teams that include engineering, growth, design, and analytics to launch products with high velocity

Continually monitor metrics and refine products basis customer feedback

Drive clarity on complex and ambiguous projects

  1. Lead a team of product managers to ensure the successful development and launch of new product features

Qualifications:

6+ years of product management experience

  1. Understanding of payment gateways, financial ecosystem and rails on which consumer payments run
  2. Comfortable in handling ambiguity and navigate around problems
  3. Prior experience in Payments, UPI, consumer internet and user growth is a must
  4. Excellent analytical skills; ability to take decisions backed by data and metrics
  5. Technical skills sufficient to understand complexity without developer inputs and work with developers to make the right technical trade-offs
  6. Experience in compliance and regulatory aspects of UPI is good to have
  7. Effective communication skills and ability to refine messages based on the audience
