Product Engineering Manager

Designation : Engineering ManagerRole Description:We are looking for a Engineering Manager for new and emerging product lines at Matrimony.com. For this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team, including senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, infrastructure specialists to establish a robust product engineering process.Ultimately, you need to be reasonably hands-on and can take charge of the end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines.Responsibilities:- Work with the strategy, product and business teams and create a product roadmap for your team and drive the execution. - Serve as a thought leader and be a mentor on architecture, design and technical aspects of the products. - Identify and deploy the right tools, frameworks, techniques and processes to help product engineers do their work faster and solve the technology problems more effectively. - Responsible for product development, testing, deployment and maintenance of products within the agreed time frames. - Own all the NFRs (non-functional requirements) for the products. - Contribute to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members. - Responsible for product development (full stack) and release which includes architecture, design, development and testing within the agreed time frames. - Adapt and iterate quickly based on user and business feedback and metrics.Desired Skill Set:- Experience in PDC's (Product Development Companies) would be highly desirable - You are well versed with Agile software development and management methods (user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.) and can excel within an Agile environment. - You are adept at using off-the-shelf software components rather than building everything from scratch, if they meet the requirements. - You value progress over perfection and have a track record of shipping value to customers. - You are hands-on and extremely confident with Typescrip t - You have worked with a JavaScript based front-end framework like React , Vue , Angular or Svelte and back-end like Node.js . - You are well versed service-oriented architecture and have built and deployed RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints. - You have built and shipped features for high-traffic web applications and mobile applications. - You are good with an RDBMS (preferably MySQL ) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB . - You are familiar with using observability tools to identify and isolate problems. - You are passionate about working together with a team to solve customer problems. - You get excited about teaching and mentoring team members. - You have a good command of written and spoken English.Qualifications & Experience: BE/B.Tech or any equivalent degree with 12 - 20 years of relevant experience.Job Location : Chennai (Work From Office)About Matrimony.comMatrimony.com Ltd is India's first pure play Wed-Tech Company to get listed on BSE and NSE.
