About the Role: 

As a Credit Manager at FinLender, you will be a key player in evaluating the creditworthiness of potential borrowers. The Credit Manager specialized in Debt Funding and Restructuring is responsible for overseeing the evaluation, approval, and management of credit risks for debt funding opportunities. This role requires in-depth knowledge of debt structuring, financial analysis, and risk mitigation strategies, as well as expertise in managing distressed debt portfolios. The individual will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop strategies for debt funding, restructuring negotiations, and recovery processes to ensure financial stability and maximize recovery rates. 


 Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Proficiently review and comprehend various deal documents, including sanction letters, term sheets, letters of intent, and valuations. 
  • Conduct due diligence during the loan approval process, financial analysis, and risk assessments for potential financing opportunities. 
  • Structure, negotiate, and finalize terms of debt agreements and covenants with lenders and investors. 
  • Lead efforts to restructure existing debt agreements in cases of financial distress or to improve financial flexibility. 
  • Monitor the performance of debt portfolios and provide regular reports to senior management. 
  • Ensure compliance with all financial covenants and legal obligations in debt agreements. 
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analysts or junior credit professionals. 
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as treasury, legal, and finance to execute debt-related transactions. 
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on credit and restructuring matters, providing insights and strategic recommendations. 
  • Formulate concise and comprehensive Debt and Structured Financing proposals for investors and lenders.   
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge in Debt Funding, NPA Restructuring, and Debt Resolution, with a strong emphasis on these areas.  
  • Proactively communicate with Banks, NBFCs, Financial Institutions and other stakeholders. 
  • Analyze historical and current financial data to provide recommendations for enhancing profitability. 
  • Effectively convey financial insights to management, highlighting pertinent business issues. 
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and business partners. 

 


Relevant Skills, knowledge and Experience: 


  • M.B.A. degree in Finance, or equivalent experience, CA/CFA (Qualified). 
  • 3-5 years of work experience in working capital, project or corporate finance department with reputed Bank, NBFC, Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) etc. 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Well Presentation Skills. 
  • Skillfully interpret financial data to identify evolving trends, patterns, and their relevance to key performance indicators. 
  • Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment, with varying degrees of supervision.
