Job Responsibilities*

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan in close collaboration with the Head of Placements and Partnerships
  • Develop professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry professionals
  • Provide direction, programming, and goals that strategically integrate all aspects of career development, career exploration, internships, job placement and career planning
  • Work in collaboration with Program Heads, faculty to ensure career activities are aligned
  • Conduct targeted employer outreach for the Law school
  • Develop and maintain employer relations and serve as a contact for industry partners and prospective employers
  • Maintain employer database for internships and full- and part-time positions
  • Plan and implement events to facilitate student interactions with employers and industry professionals
  • Support the Office to achieve the overall objective of the Career Development Office: placing all students in roles that match their abilities
  • Manage all aspects of the placements and internship recruitment on campus, handling grievances, managing relationships, and planning and implementing orientations and workshops
  • Counsel students (one-on-one and in groups) on various
  • placement-related issues such as resume building, group discussions, etc.
  • Updating various databases by liaising with other departments
  • Contribute towards relationship building with organizations from a variety of sectors and industries and on ground execution of placement processes
  • Leverage existing networks of Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Students


Preferred Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree/diploma from a premium institution
  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years or more in a similar capacity in providing career services/ career counseling support in a higher education set-up
  • Proficient in handling and managing communication effectively with different stakeholders in an international work environment
  • Background or interest in law, legal practice, corporate law would be a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good command in spoken and written English language
  • Possess a growth mindsetand has the ability to be adaptableand resilient
  • Resourceful and Collaborative
  • Excellent time-management
  • Highly entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiplepartner relationships
  • Experience working with and mentoring young people, facilitating workshops and learning journeys would be preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Social Media experience will be an added advantage
