Role Overview :

The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, leading, and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-grade IT solutions using Microsoft Azure and multi-cloud environments. You will work with stakeholders to define technical strategies, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

This role is ideal for a seasoned architect (1015+ years) with extensive experience in cloud architecture, digital transformation, and solution design, preferably with exposure to the Oil & Gas (O&G) sector.

Key Responsibilities :

- Solution Design & Architecture : Define and design end-to-end cloud and hybrid solutions leveraging Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

- Client Engagement : Partner with internal/external clients to capture business requirements and design solutions aligned with enterprise goals and industry regulations.

- Technology Integration : Architect solutions integrating applications, data platforms, APIs, containerized services, and third-party tools.

- Security & Compliance : Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements, especially in O&G.

- Strategic Planning : Drive cloud adoption roadmaps, modernization, and migration strategies, balancing cost, scalability, and performance.

- Innovation & Emerging Tech : Explore and apply AI, GenAI, AI Ops, IoT, advanced analytics, and automation to solve industry-specific challenges.

- Leadership & Mentorship : Provide technical leadership, set best practices, and mentor engineers and junior architects to build organizational capability.

- Performance & Optimization : Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshoot high-level technical issues, and implement long-term solutions.

- Delivery Oversight : Support Agile delivery teams, ensuring architectural consistency and solution scalability across projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Education & Certifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (mandatory).

- Microsoft AZ-900 and AZ-305 certifications required.

- Certifications in TOGAF, ArchiMate, or Zachman frameworks preferred.

Experience :

- 10- 15 years of overall IT experience, with 8+ years in solution architecture.

- Strong experience in Microsoft Azure services and architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

- Proven track record in multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP).

- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas (O&G) industry highly desirable.

Technical Expertise :

- Cloud Architecture : Designing large-scale, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.

- Containers & Orchestration : Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or equivalent (AKS, GKE, EKS).

- Automation & AI : Hands-on with Python scripting, AI Ops, GenAI-driven automation.

- DevOps & CI/CD : Experience with pipelines & tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, Bamboo, Bitbucket, etc.).

- Data & Analytics : Experience with data integration, data warehousing, big data platforms.

- Security : Designing secure and compliant solutions, especially for regulated industries.

Soft Skills :

- Strong communication & presentation skills to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.

- Ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value propositions.

- Proven leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
