Role Overview

At Panacea Biotec, the Medical Affairs professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our Pharma, Vaccines, and Nutrition portfolios are supported with strong scientific credibility and regulatory compliance. This role involves training the sales force, engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs), driving scientific communication, and supporting evidence generation to build trust and expand market presence across therapeutic categories, including pediatrics, maternal care, and preventive healthcare.


Key Responsibilities

1. Medical Expertise & Internal Support

  • Deliver structured medical training for the sales force across Pharma, Vaccines, and Nutrition divisions (including new launches).
  • Act as a scientific advisor to marketing, regulatory, and sales teams.
  • Develop and update scientific content repositories (FAQs, objection handlers, scientific briefs).
  • Monitor emerging guidelines, WHO/ICMR/DCGI updates, and competitor data to guide business strategy.

2. Healthcare Professional & KOL Engagement

  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with pediatricians, gynecologists, nutritionists, and infectious disease specialists.
  • Organize advisory boards, CME programs, and medical symposia to establish scientific leadership.
  • Collect and synthesize KOL insights to inform launch strategy and product positioning.

3. Scientific Communication & Compliance

  • Review and approve visual aids, promotional material, detailing decks, and digital campaigns to ensure compliance and scientific accuracy.
  • Support doctor detailing by developing robust scientific narratives for brands like NikoMom and Panacea vaccines.
  • Represent Panacea Biotec at conferences, academic meetings, and pediatric/nutrition forums.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory frameworks (DCGI, ICMR, IFPMA, WHO).

4. Evidence Generation & Clinical Support

  • Support investigator-initiated trials, post-marketing surveillance, and real-world evidence (RWE) studies.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacovigilance for safety monitoring and risk management.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, and Market Access to drive scientifically aligned strategies.
  • Ensure medical review and input for all promotional and non-promotional initiatives.
  • Provide support for field queries, product claims, and new portfolio launches.

  • Influencing and relationship-building skills with KOLs and internal stakeholders.

  • Effectiveness of sales force training (measured by knowledge assessments & field performance).
  • Number and quality of KOL engagements and CME activities.
  • Accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of scientific content reviews.
  • Contribution to new product launches and evidence generation.
  • Internal feedback on scientific and strategic support.
