Scope of Work :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MongoDB Developer and Data Modeler to provide expert advisory support for a client transitioning their application backend to MongoDB. The ideal candidate will evaluate the suitability of MongoDB for the clients use case, guide optimal data modeling and architecture approaches, and advise on hybrid or alternative solutions (e.g., MongoDB + Snowflake).

Key Responsibilities :

- Assess whether MongoDB is the right fit for the clients specific requirements.

- Design and implement optimal data models and architectures for MongoDB.

- Challenge and validate architectural decisions to ensure scalability and performance.

- Advise on hybrid database architectures, such as integrating MongoDB with Snowflake or other relational databases.

- Provide expertise on NoSQL vs. RDBMS trade-offs and best practices.

- Collaborate with the client in a consulting/advisory capacity to deliver actionable recommendations.

- Leverage large-scale data modeling experience, particularly in manufacturing or supply chain domains (e.g., Bill of Materials (BOM) data).

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of senior-level experience in MongoDB data modeling and architecture.

- Proven ability to evaluate and optimize database solutions for performance and scalability.

- Familiarity with hybrid database architectures (e.g., MongoDB + Snowflake).

- Strong understanding of NoSQL and relational database trade-offs.

- Experience working in a consulting or advisory role is preferred.

- Background in large-scale data modeling, ideally within manufacturing or supply chain domains.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Snowflake or other data warehousing solutions.

- Knowledge of cloud-based database deployments (e.g., MongoDB Atlas).
