Role Description
We are looking for a full-time, on-site Vice President / Director - Fundraise role located in Mumbai at GrowthCap Ventures to drive capital-raising initiatives, engage with high-calibre investors, and expand our network of Limited Partners (LPs), Family Offices, UHNWIs, and institutions. If you have a proven track record in raising funds and a deep understanding of the unlisted investment landscape, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of venture capital alongside a dynamic team.
Role Overview:
1. Fundraising Leadership

•        Develop and execute a strategic annual fundraising plan aligned with GrowthCap's vision to expand our fund.

•        Drive engagement with existing investors while identifying and onboarding new capital partners from Family Offices, UHNWIs, and institutional networks.

•        Build and maintain relationships to secure commitments, leveraging your proven track record in fundraising (e.g. raised min 100 Cr + in prior roles).
2. Investor Relations and Engagement

•        Serve as the primary point of contact for LPs, Family Offices, and institutional investors, ensuring transparent and consistent communication.

•        Provide regular updates on fund performance, market dynamics, and GrowthCap's strategic initiatives to build trust and loyalty.
3. Business Development and Marketing

•        Develop and implement a business development strategy to strengthen GrowthCap's presence in the investment community.

•        Lead targeted marketing initiatives, ensuring high visibility of the firm's investment thesis, achievements, and opportunities among potential investors.
4. Market Intelligence and Representation

•        Monitor and analyze trends in the venture capital ecosystem, including new fund launches, LP mandates, and emerging investment opportunities.

•        Represent GrowthCap Ventures at key industry events, conferences, and networking forums to expand reach and build meaningful connections.
5. Strategic Alignment

•        Ensure that the Fund's vision, strategy, and value proposition are effectively communicated to potential investors.

•        Align fundraising goals with the firm's operational and strategic objectives to drive long-term success.
Qualifications and Requirements :
Must-Haves :

•        Proven Track Record in Fundraising: Demonstrable experience in successfully raising capital (e.g., $XXM+) for private equity, venture capital, or related investment platforms.

•        Industry Expertise: At least 3 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Venture Capital, with a focus on fundraising and deal execution.

•        Network Strength: A robust network of LPs, tech investors, UHNWIs, and Family Offices, with the ability to tap into and expand these relationships.

•        Communication Excellence: Clarity, confidence, and persuasiveness in presenting the firm's vision and value proposition to sophisticated investors.

•        Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess market opportunities, identify trends, and align them with the firm's investment strategy.
Preferred Qualifications :

•        Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.

•        Experience Level: 7-10+ years in fundraising, investment banking, wealth management, family offices, or related fields.

•        Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with FinTech, SaaS, and DeepTech sectors is a strong plus.
