Job Overview:
- SGB BrandSafway is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Commercials Manager with over 10 years of experience in commercial contract management to join our Hyderabad team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract negotiations, financial analysis, and risk management, particularly within the construction, industrial services, or infrastructure sectors. This role will be responsible for managing commercial operations, overseeing contract execution, and ensuring that the companys commercial activities align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Contract Management:
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from negotiation and execution to post-award management and closure.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Interpret contract terms, conditions, and obligations, and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
2. Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments on contracts, identifying potential liabilities and proposing risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all contracts are in alignment with the companys risk management framework and legal
compliance requirements.
- Monitor contract performance to mitigate risks related to delivery, quality, cost overruns, and timelines.
3. Financial Analysis & Cost Control:
- Manage the financial aspects of commercial contracts, including budgeting, cost estimation, and profit margins.
- Conduct financial analysis to ensure contract profitability and adherence to company financial goals.
- Collaborate with the finance team to monitor and report on the financial performance of contracts, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
4. Vendor & Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and vendors, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and disputes are resolved efficiently.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client contract negotiations, amendments, and renewals.
- Support business development teams by providing commercial input on new business proposals and
tenders.
5. Compliance & Legal Liaison:
- Ensure that all commercial activities comply with legal standards, industry regulations, and internal
policies.
- Liaise with the legal team to ensure that contract terms are compliant and that the companys
interests are protected.
- Conduct regular audits of contracts to ensure proper documentation and adherence to compliance
policies.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports on contract performance, financial status, and risk management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, amendments, and related correspondence.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on commercial performance and key risks.
7. Leadership & Team Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor junior team members in contract management, negotiations, and risk analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, legal, and operations, to ensure
smooth execution of contracts and alignment with business objectives.
- Support internal teams in understanding commercial terms and obligations, providing training and
guidance where necessary.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. (A Masters
degree or a professional certification in contract management is preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in commercial contract management within the
construction, infrastructure, industrial services, or related industries.
- Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex, high-value contracts.
- Strong understanding of legal, financial, and compliance aspects of commercial contracts.
- Experience in managing client relationships and handling contract disputes.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, commercial law, and contract risk management.

- Experience working with cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard contract management software.
- PMP or other project management certifications will be an added advantage.
