The CAD Draftsman for Interior Design should be responsible for producing detailed and accurate technical drawings and plans for interior design projects. This role involves working closely with interior designers and architects to translate design concepts into precise CAD drawings, ensuring that every project meets our high standards of quality and design integrity.


Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed CAD drawings and floor plans for interior design projects, including layout plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
  • Collaborate with interior designers and project managers to understand project requirements, design concepts, and client preferences.
  • Develop and refine design drawings based on feedback from design reviews and client consultations.
  • Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards, building codes, and design specifications.
  • Prepare and update project documentation, including material schedules and design specifications.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to measure spaces, assess site conditions, and gather data for accurate drawing preparation.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, including 3D renderings and visualizations, to help communicate design concepts to clients.
  • Maintain and organize CAD libraries, including furniture, fixtures, and materials used in interior design projects.
  • Stay current with trends in interior design and advancements in CAD technology to enhance design processes and productivity.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a CAD Draftsman or similar role, preferably in the field of interior design or architecture.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit; experience with design visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and design documentation. Ability to interpret and work from design sketches, concepts, and client requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.+
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • A degree or certification in interior design, architecture, drafting, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in interior design.
