Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Jr Embedded Engineer (Hardware) at Bioscan Research in Ahmedabad. The role involves design, development, and optimization of embedded hardware systems. The role provide opportunities for collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with standards and to drive innovation in hardware solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Circuit Design and Development: Design and develop electronic circuits and hardware components for embedded systems. Utilize CAD Tools and Altium Designer for circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout design.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes using equipment such as Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Function Generators to validate the functionality of hardware designs. Perform bench testing and debugging to troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Component Selection: Select appropriate components based on performance, cost, and compatibility considerations. Engage with suppliers to obtain technical specifications and evaluate components.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for hardware design specifications and testing protocols. Maintain records and files of hardware development processes and revisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards like EMI/EMC and customer expectations. Participate in product certification testing and manage necessary documentation for compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Mechanical and Firmware teams to ensure smooth integration of hardware with other system components.
  • Support and Maintenance: Provide technical support for existing products and systems. Contribute to the resolution of hardware-related issues in deployed systems.


Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience in ARM Cortex A/M SoCs
  • Proficiency in designing digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB, etc., and expertise in ultra-low-power design for battery-powered systems.
  • Experience with circuit design, simulation, schematic capture and PCB Layout
  • Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
