Job Overview:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A passion for creating beautiful, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces is essential. In addition, experience or knowledge of ERB (Embedded Ruby) templates is a nice-to-have.


As a UI Developer, you will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers to implement visually engaging, functional, and interactive web applications. You will play a key role in enhancing the overall user experience by ensuring that UI components are consistent, responsive, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing features using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design mockups and wireframes into code.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide feedback on design implementations.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug UI issues across multiple browsers and devices.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and a seamless experience across platforms.
  • Implement responsive web design principles to ensure mobile-first user experiences.
  • Maintain and update web applications using version control tools such as Git.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and dynamic content into the UI.
  • Implement accessibility standards and ensure a high level of usability for all users.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERB templates and their integration with Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript libraries and frameworks like jQuery.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of web optimization tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration workflows.
  • Understanding of responsive web design and CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience working with design systems and UI component libraries.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • A solid understanding of the DOM and client-side performance.
  • Proven ability to convert design mockups and wireframes into responsive, production-ready code.
  • Experience with front-end development tools and build processes (e.g., NPM, Webpack).
  • Experience working with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating previous front-end development work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience working in front-end web development.
  • Previous experience working with any scripting server-side web frameworks.
