Job LocationChemplast Sanmar Limited #44, Theertham Road, Berigai – 6351105 Shoolagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District Tamilnadu.Job ContentThe Civil Head will lead all civil engineering and construction activities for the chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. This role involves planning, execution, and maintenance of civil infrastructure to support production and expansion projects.Job ResponsibilityProject Planning & Execution:Oversee design, estimation, and execution of civil works for plant infrastructure, including foundations, buildings, roads, drainage, and structural works. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors for timely completion of projects.Compliance & Safety:Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, building codes, and environmental norms. Implement safety standards for civil construction in a chemical plant environment.Budget & Cost Control:Prepare and monitor civil project budgets, control costs, and optimize resources.Maintenance & Upgrades:Manage upkeep of existing civil structures and plan for preventive maintenance. Support plant expansion and modernization projects.Team Leadership:Lead a team of civil engineers, supervisors, and contractors. Provide technical guidance and ensure skill development within the team.Vendor & Contractor Management:Evaluate and select contractors/vendors for civil works. Monitor performance and ensure quality standards.DESIRABLE Knowledge of industrial civil design, structural analysis, and construction techniques. Familiarity with chemical plant layouts and hazardous area construction Strong understanding of safety and environmental compliance Expertise in civil works for industrial plants Ability to manage large-scale projects within timelines and budgetsQualification :B.E / B.Tech - Civil Engineering Experience of 8 - 10 years in civil engineering, with at least 2-3 years in people management role within chemical or process industry.Perfered Industries from Chemical/Paint/Petrochemical industries/Speciality Chemicals/Pharma Incredients companies.Interested candidates can share their resumes tostk3@sanmargroup.com
