The Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of tax planning, preparation, and compliance for clients, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations. Tasks include researching tax laws, providing advisory services, leading tax audits, and implementing strategies to optimize tax benefits. The candidate will also manage client relationships, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with other teams to meet organizational goals.Individual Tax Responsibilities:Manage and review US individual income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1040-NR, state and local returns).Ensure compliance with international individual tax requirements, such as FBAR, FATCA, and foreign tax credits (if applicable).Advise individuals on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.Ensure timely filing of extensions, estimated taxes, and compliance deadlines.Coordinate with Clients.Lead, mentor, and review work of tax team members.Drive process improvements and automation in tax reporting and compliance.Ensure adherence to internal policies and timelines.Business Tax Responsibilities:Manage and review business tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and LLCs (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065).Identify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies.Ensure proper documentation to support tax positionsAdvise on business tax planning, entity structuring, and transactions.Coordinate with Clients. Lead, mentor, and review work of tax team members.Drive process improvements and automation in tax reporting and compliance.Ensure adherence to internal policies and timelines.Qualifications:6–10 years of hands-on experience in US individual and business taxationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (required)Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting (preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple engagements and deadlinesLeadership experience with team mentoring and review
